Some Chevrolet dealerships halt Volt sales due to tool costs
Wed, 02 Jan 2013Some Chevrolet dealers have stopped carrying the Volt after deciding that their sales didn't justify an additional $5,100 for tools to service the plug-in hybrid. Last month, General Motors notified Chevrolet dealers of the added cost for tools, among other requirements, to keep selling and servicing the Volt. The math didn't work for Allyn Barnard, owner of Jim Barnard Chevrolet in Churchville, N.Y., near Rochester.
CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition 2014 now open!

This is the fourth running of the contest that challenges the design students of North America to create GM's future, with the guidance of professional designers and fellow students. Akio Toyoda to testify before U.S. House panel

President Akio Toyoda accepted an invitation to testify next week before a congressional committee that is investigating the automaker's safety problems. “I have received Congressman Towns' invitation to testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on February 24 and I accept," Toyoda said in an e-mailed statement Thursday.
