ALL OF OUR REMANUFACTURED MOTORS 30hp to 250hp receive the same treatment whether it's a 1983 or a 2007 . Your as-new motor is completely machined by our ultra modern machines- no short cuts , all surfaces machined then high pressure washed and cleaned, NEW pistons are precisely fitted and plateau diamond honed. Crankshafts are remanufactured back to factory specs with all new bearings, new oil pump, fuel systems are completely cleaned in our ultrasonic cleaner then computer re-calibrated. All electronics are inspected and tested as well as the trim system. The lower unit gets disassembled then factory clearances are checked along with all internal parts then its reassembled with new seals and water pump. New thermostats, paint and decals, etc. Then we run your motor under power in our outboard test cell and is put it a through a preliminary break-in so when you receive your motor it's ready to go boating.

I bought a 1999 90 hp Rebuilt Johnson from you;s, 1-1/2 years later this motor runs like a brand new one. Power-more than a new motor, starts every time and I fish in very cold weather, never shuts off once its running.  Right after I bought this motor it developed a miss, one call to these folks and I returned to be treated very nicely and the motor was fixed by replacing a part, NO CHARGE!

I will never buy a new motor as long as these nice dependable folks are rebuilding outboards, I would recommend Blackbird to anyone who needs a rebuilt, you will be treated well and end up with a better than new motor, My life depends on this motor to get be back to the dock and it has.

Porsche Cayenne S Diesel: The V8 diesel Cayenne arrives

Porsche has revealed the 2013 Cayenne S Diesel with a 4.2 litre V8 diesel offering 378bhp, 626lb/ft of torque and 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds. Back in April we reported that the Porsche Cayenne S Diesel was on its way with a V8 diesel engine to take on the BMW M50d and the upcoming offerings from Land Rover with a 2014 4.4 litre Range Rover Sport seeming a likely possibility. Now Porsche has caught up and revealed the Cayenne S diesel, which gets the 4.2 litre diesel V8 with a healthy 378bhp and a very useful 626lb/ft of torque, enough to scoot the Cayenne S Diesel to 62mph in 5.7 seconds – a bit slower than the M50d, but all that torque should make it feel at least as lively.

This Volvo S60 D4 has the new Drive-E engine Most of the Volvo news of late has been about the new XC90, and Volvo’s new range of engines – the Drive-E range – which look to offer improved economy and emissions with better performance and more flexibility. It’s a bit early to get our hands on the new XC90, but Volvo has sent us the S60 D4 SE Nav with the new 181 PS Drive-E engine to judge for ourselves just how big an improvement the new D4 Drive-E engine is over the old D4. Of course, the 2014 S60 may get the all-news Drive-E engine, but it is still a five year old design and runs on a platform that came from Ford in the first place, so although we get a good idea of what the new engines mean for Volvo going forward, the basics of the S60 are far from new.

By creating an online record that insurance companies can easily check, ministers and the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) expect insurance costs to fall, as insurers will be able to exactly analyse risk rather than hedging their bets.
