Peugeot 207 CC GT THP 156 Review & Road Test (2010)
Thu, 19 Aug 2010Peugeot 207 CC Review & Road Test The sun is actually shining, although it was raining earlier. The rain was expected, if for no other reason than we’ve got a drop top to play with this week. The way the world works is that a drop top for review in summer foretells a period of unseasonably wet and chilly weather, and a capable SUV in January sees the sun break out and spring-like temperatures arrive.
MINI Rocketman returns for London 2012
Thu, 14 Jun 2012The MINI Rocketman Concept – first seen at Geneva 2012 – has been titivated and rolled out to promote BMW’s London 2012 sponsorship. We all thought, when BMW rolled out the MINI Rocketman Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, that this was the future for a second, smaller take on the modern MINI. But BMW seemed to go cold on the idea of building a modern MINI with dimensions much closer to the original Issigonis Mini so we thought the plans had gone out of the window.
New Jaguar XJR UK debut next week
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The New Jaguar XJR (pictured) gets its UK debut at Moto Expo 2013 Lovers of powerful XJs were delighted discover that a new Jaguar XJR, which debuted at the New York Auto Show in April, will finally give them a properly sporty XJ, rather than the somewhat compromised SuperSport version of the current XJ with the 5.0 litre Supercharged engine. Jaguar has kept faith with the history of the XJR by giving the new model a subtle ‘Sporty’ makeover with only gentle go-faster bits – like ‘R’ badges, new alloys, quad tailpipes, small boot spoiler, front splitter and a subtle body kit – so the new XJR looks purposeful, rather than looking like its been dipped in a Halfords bargain bucket. The real changes come under the skin, with the new XJR getting the 542bhp version of the 5.0 litre supercharged engine, tweaked dampers and spring rates, refined active diff and DSC and new shift patterns for the 8-speed auto box.
