Factory Volvo navigation system was removed from a 2004 Volvo XC90.  IT was in working condition when removed.  The wiring should already be in the vehicle if you are adding this.  Communication of the unit is done thru the vehicles computer network system.  IT will probably need a software download.  Units are Volvo part number 30679455-1, 30656241-1, the remote is number 30657371-1.  The remote will need 2 AAA batteries.

IF my information is correct, this system will work for the following Volvo's:  2003-2013 XC90,  2001-2009 S60,  2001-2009 XC60,  2001-2007 S70,  2001-2007 V70,  2001-2007 XC70,  1999-2006 S80.   Check with your Volvo dealer if not purchasing this for a 2004 XC90.

Modified Mercedes turned to gold

But that hasn’t stopped Carlsson turning it into an automotive homage to gold.

NOT content with falling out of a balloon from a great height, Austrian extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner is tackling his next big challenge on the famous Nordschleife circuit of the Nurburgring in Germany. Teaming up with Audi, the Austrian will obtain a racing license and become a driver with the Audi race experience team for the grueling Nurburgring 24 Hours in June. He’ll also be swapping his recording-breaking balloon for a race-prepared Audi R8.

Ford technology could recognise your face

Wed, 02 Jul 2014

Does your car know who’s driving it? It may do in the future – as Ford is working on technology that can recognise your face. The carmaker has teamed up with technology experts Intel to use sensors inside the car that can identify individual people, and adapt settings to that driver’s preferences.
