Aston Martin, AMG ink technical partnership deal

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

It's hard to remember that the VH-platform Aston Martins were pretty mind-bending when they came out. Since the sports-luxury marque was cut loose from Ford's stewardship six years ago, the British manufacturer has seemed a bit adrift, largely playing with variations on a theme, save for the rather radical One-77. London Motorexpo competition shows future EVs

Fri, 08 Jun 2012

London's 2012 Motorexpo show has showcased the work of the winners in its competition to design an electric vehicle of the future. The brief, to create a circa 2032 zero-emmission city car capable of transporting four adults and luggage, was won by Michael Vlcek, a first-year student at London's Royal College of Arts' (RCA) Vehicle Design department. Vehicles of the future Vlcek's proposal displayed a car with electric motors mounted in the wheel housings to maximise interior space, and a front-hinged opening to allow access via the rear of the car, where Vlcek positioned the rear lights on vertical vanes to improve aerodynamic stability.

Ferrari 458 Speciale: Frankfurt 2013

But at least they brought something new. The ‘something new’ is the hardcore version of Ferrari’s mid-engined supercar, the 458, and Ferrari obviously used the same naming committee for this car as they did for LaFerrari – it’s the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
