Chris Bangle Associates announces 'Illustrate the Future' design competition
Mon, 16 Jan 2012Chris Bangle Associates has announced a new design contest called 'Illustrate the Future.' The competition is open to all design students across all design disciplines and coincides with the launch of Managing Director, Chris Bangle's new book. "I have written a fiction book about Car Design and the prologue takes place 25 years in the future," says Bangle. "It contains some concepts I have been working on, and this contest is to see what YOU would make of them." Bangle's novel explores the state of affairs in the car design field and also expresses his concerns about the culture future generations of designers will inherit.
Korean Grand Prix (2012) RESULT
Sun, 14 Oct 2012With the Red Bull of Mark Webber on pole and Sebastian Vettel alongside, could Vettel take the lead in the driver’s championship in Korea? Last year, Sebastian Vettel took the win in Seoul, and this year it’s a second place on the grid for Vettel as he strives to overtake Alonso in the race for the drivers’ championship, with Mark Webber sitting on pole. After Vettel’s display in Japan in the last race, and a clear edge over the rest of the fields in qualifying in Korea, it was no surprise to see the Red Bulls go clear from the start, with Vettel getting the jump on Webber and heading off in to the sunset for a clear win – despite a few tyre traumas near the end – with Webber riding shotgun for a solid second place.

In the name of completeness I’ll mention that Murray was the genius behind the McLaren F1, designer Stevens a key player, but most of you won’t need to be reminded. You’ll know that Murray and Stevens, along with a small but brilliant team, created a supercar that beat Lamborghini and Ferrari and everyone else in the world.
