Jaguar: Four-wheel drive a priority. Hybrid Jaguars not.
Sun, 20 Nov 2011Our long term Jaguar XJ would have been better in the snow with 4WD - but it's coming We’ve been talking about a four-wheel drive platform for Jaguars for a long time now. As far back as 2009, Jaguar privately confessed that the lack of an XF Estate was down to the lack of a 4WD platform to make the XF Estate a proper competitor in the luxury load-lugging market. The midsize truck is expected to deliver class-leading power, payload and trailering rating when it goes on sale in fall 2014, at least according to the Bowtie. Chevy hopes the Colorado will be the most powerful midsize truck (in an admittedly small segment) thanks to its three-engine lineup.
Hamilton wins in Hungary
Mon, 27 Jul 2009Hamilton takes McLaren's firts win of the season at the Hungaroring Hamilton passed Red Bull’s Mark Webber early in the race, and found himself at the front of the pack when Alonso retired after a botched wheel change saw him lose his front wheel. Despite the pressure from Raikkonen Hamilton never really looked in danger of losing the lead and brought the McLaren home in first place for the first time this season. Team mate Kovalainen came in fifth, making this McLaren’s best showing of the season.
