Huge and heavy prestige catalog, reserved for Corvette's best customers. Labeled by Chevy as a Collectors Edition, for the newest generation C6 Corvette. 13 X 11.5" in its own leatherette presentation envelope, the prestige brochure has 32 glossy pages, and super slick glossy covers. Also includes special Corvette 05 Collector DVD that features in-depth product information, Corvette TV, "A Boy's Dream" commercial directed by Guy Richie featuring "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones (the first Corvette commercial since 1997; after airing, the commercial was quickly pulled because of complaints from consumer groups that it might encourage children to take their dad's C6 on a joy ride!), Hot Laps, 2005 testing and C5-R racing footage, Corvette Documentary, Development Team, Executive Interviews and more.

Here's a link to the banned commercial:

A Boy's Dream

Also Z51 C5-r, interior/exterior views, color selections, options, specs. This is among the most collectible of the late-model Vette brochures.

Pay Attention At The Front

THE IAM has revealed a worrying statistic as part of a survey regarding distracted driving. Of almost 1,500 drivers polled, only sixty per cent of drivers were said to concentrate when behind the wheel. The survey by IAM/Vision Critical did, however, also have some good news.

Qvale, nearing 90, sees life after crash for U.S. industry

Mon, 06 Jul 2009

The troubles roiling Detroit's automakers are familiar to Kjell Qvale, the legendary importer and dealer in San Francisco. Qvale, who turns 90 on July 17, has seen this movie before. For instance, many of the British automakers that Kjell Qvale (shel kah-VAH'-lee) depended on for sports and luxury cars collapsed in the 1970s.
