2014 BMW M4 Convertible revealed
Fri, 04 Apr 2014We’re eagerly anticipating the launch of the new 2014 BMW M3 saloon and M4 Coupe, but before we’ve even driven those cars (we will do soon, though) our attention has been diverted by the announcement of the new 2014 BMW M4 Convertible. Junction auto-brake for next Volvo XC90
Tue, 22 Jul 2014THE NEXT Volvo XC90 will be able to brake itself if its driver attempts to pull out in front of an oncoming car, as one of two world-first safety innovations. This auto-brake technology detects whether an approaching car is technically on a collision course and will hit the stoppers to prevent a possible accident. However, there is no mention of an increased risk of rear-end collisions where drivers following the XC90 might also accelerate, not expecting the Volvo to stop suddenly.
UK car production slumps, state help sought
Fri, 21 Nov 2008By Digby Fullam Motor Industry 21 November 2008 14:30 The full effect of the downturn in the global economy is being felt by the UK motor industry, new figures out today reveal. That makes it the worst October production figures since 1991 which, if you’ll cast your mind back, was the last recession. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders blamed the slump on 'a rapid reduction in demand for motor vehicles.' It’s not just us Brits that aren’t buying cars, either.
