Tokyo Motor Show: Jaguar F-Type Coupe
Wed, 20 Nov 2013HOT On the heels of the critically acclaimed F-Type Roadster, Jaguar has unveiled the hardtop version: the F-Type Coupe. The car, styled by long standing Jaguar design boss Ian Callum, gains the same V6 petrol motor as the Roadster, however there’s a tweaked V8 for the flagship F-Type R boasting a considerable 542bhp.

No surprises in store – except perhaps just how good it looks – with its 6.2 litre, 556 bhp V8 almost defying resistance by hurtling the not inconsiderably-sized CTS-V Coupe to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.

But in a sign that the future of JLR looks pretty rosy JLR managed to secure £175 million in private financing back in August as part of a bid to raise £500 million, and Tata have refinanced the loans used to acquire JLR.
