VW debuts Twin Up! Concept at Tokyo Motor Show

Volkswagen introduced the newest member of the XL1 family at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Twin Up! Essentially the plug-in hybrid version of the Up!, this four-seater concept car shares some of its drive system with the Volkswagen XL1 including its dual-clutch automatic transmission, diesel engine and electric motor. Partnership Premium 2030 - Part 2

Strate College has released the second episode in its five-part mini-series documenting a project students have undertaken in partnership with French automaker Peugeot: creating a premium vehicle for the year 2030. This second video delves into the 2D sketching phase of the project as 30 students – divided into 10 groups – devise their exterior and interior designs as well as the associated products and color and trim details for a future Peugeot. The video outlines the stage as students develop the overall proportions of the exterior and interior designs, and follows the teams as they choose the textures for materials that will feature in the interior.

Porsche Cayenne and Panamera production temporarily stops

Porsche stopped production today at its assembly plant in Leipzig, Germany, after floods in the region disrupted supplies. The factory builds the Cayenne SUV and Panamera sedan for global markets, including the United States. Porsche told workers on today's early shift not to come into work after floods in the Czech Republic halted supply of Cayenne bodies.
