Wed, 03 Jul 2013It may be leaden with PR-talk but this short presentation by Yasushi Nakamuta, Mazda's director of advanced design studio at the press unveiling of the new Mazda 3 in Melbourne is still worth a couple of minutes of your time. But while the 3 is undeniably attractive we can't help but feel that the 'unique' design process Nakamuta describes (which appears wholly conventional to us) has resulted in little more than a thoroughly normal product. The tiny two-seat roadster boasts an electric rear-wheel drive layout beneath the ‘dynamic and innovative' exterior styling. The heavily defined flanks and short over-hangs give the EV-Ster a sporting stance, the extensive use of carbon composites further confirming this, whilst the DRG boasts the familiar alternate energy family graphics.
Sticker prices set for 2013 Nissan GT-R
Fri, 20 Jan 2012Nissan coaxed another 15 hp from the twin-turbo V6 in the 2013 GT-R sports car, and added nearly $7,000 to the sticker price. The 2013 Nissan GT-R Premium, which is reaching dealerships now, carries a sticker price of $97,820, including the $1,000 in shipping charges. That's a $6,870 bump over the 2012 model.
