Lexus teases Frankfurt SUV concept (2013)
Wed, 20 Aug 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 20 August 2014 11:00 Lexus has released the first picture of what’s expected to be its new SUV concept car, bound for the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013. Clearly set to employ the sharp-creased design and huge ‘spindle grille’ cues from the current Lexus range – not to mention the LF-LC coupe concept – Lexus is nevertheless staying tight-lipped on details of its new model. We’ll see the car revealed completely in early September.
Renault Zoe EV gets cheaper – but only if you hardly use it
Sun, 02 Feb 2014Renault Zoe EV (pictured) battery lease dropes to £45 a month The Renault ZOE eEV is one of the most affordable electric cars in the UK, with prices from £13,345 (after tax-payer bribe) plus a monthly cost for leasing the batteries from Renault. A bit like buying an ICE car and paying a monthly lease for the engine. But despite the Zoe’s ‘affordable EV’ tag, Renault has not had overwhelming success with the Zoe in the UK since it arrived last year, so they’ve come up with some new incentives to get car buyers to opt for their electric supermini.
Kode 7 and Kode 9 sports cars star at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Thu, 21 Nov 2013One of the best things about being at an international motor show in person is coming across amazing cars you didn’t even know existed – and here at Tokyo 2013, the very best examples of this are the Kode 7 and Kode 9 on the Ken Okuyama Design stand. Absolutely stunning – but that’s hardly a surprise given the man responsible also designed the Enzo Ferrari. The Kode 7 – an evolution of the ko.7 that debuted in Geneva 2008 – appears in Exclusive (silver) and Clubman (red) guises as a lightweight track toy.
