CPP to buy Browns Lane
Fri, 02 Sep 2011CPP are off to Browns Lane - where every E-Type Jaguar was built As regular readers will know, we’re big fans of CPP and are always happy to big them up at the drop of a hat, even before they acquired Vladimir Antonov’s money and set forth on a mission to buy up the world’s niche car makers. So with solid funding from ‘Vlad the Investor’, CPP are on a fast road to being a sizeable force in world car manufacture; not in the volume sense, but certainly in the impact their products are making. Despite pointing out to us that they haven’t actually bought Zagato (technically correct) Zagato is now very much part of the CPP portfolio, as is extreme off-roader Bowler – a more recent acquisition – both solid names to exploit in a high-end car maker future Nirvana.
Volkswagen Brands – enough for now
Mon, 21 Dec 2009VW boss Martin Winterkorn says Volkswagen has enough brands Volkswagen seems to be on a world domination plan. Audi is expanding with every passing day and the VW Group (Auto Union to be) has an unrivalled list of brands under its umbrella, including Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and of course VW itself. It also recently effectively took control of Porsche (after the failed efforts by Porsche to take control of VW) and has just announced a near 20% stake in Suzuki.
Peugeot RCZ confirmed
Tue, 14 Jul 2009Peugeot has confirmed that the Peugeot RCZ will be at Frankfurt in September Peugeot has announced that the Peugeot RCZ (they’re not bothering with the ’308′ bit) will finally hit the roads in Spring 2010. It took a while. Which should mean the RCZ is well and truly sorted, or will it just mean it’s out of date before it even goes on sale?
