The fourth annual Auto Design Prague conference will take place on 18 September at the National Technical Library in Prague-Dejvice. The event is open to professionals and the wider public, and will include a program of 10 presentations by designers including vice president of Ferrari design, Flavio Manzoni; Volvo design director Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar's advanced design director, Julian Thompson, and Qoros head of design, Gert Hildebrand. BMW to supply engines to Saab, reports say

Saab and BMW AG have agreed on a deal that allows the Swedish carmaker to use engines made by BMW, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Saab will initially purchase BMW engines for the 9-3 model that is scheduled for release in late 2012, said the person, who asked not to be identified before a contract is signed. The carmakers plan to sign and announce the pact in Trollhattan, Sweden, on Wednesday, the person said.

Kia Naimo concept at the Seoul auto show explores an electric-powered city car

Kia continues to explore its electric-car capabilities with the Naimo small-car concept, unveiled on Thursday at the Seoul motor show. The boxy, four-seat Naimo fits into the B-size class, which includes cars such as the Honda Fit, the Toyota Yaris, the Ford Fiesta and the Chevrolet Sonic. The Naimo is 153.2 inches long and has a wheelbase of 104.2 inches.
