Volteis teases Philippe Starck-designed electric car

Electric vehicle manufacturer Volteis has released a teaser of its latest car set to debut at the Geneva motor show, designed by Philippe Starck It has been confirmed that Starck, better known for his product and furniture design, would unveil the ‘V+ by Starck' at the show's Green Pavilion. The teaser indicates that the V+ will retain the basic shape of Volteis' X2 and X4 models, which have a range of 60 kilometers. Starck said, "I wanted to offer an alternative.

Rennsport IV, three days of serious Porsche love at Mazda Racway Laguna Seca, concluded on Sunday with a half-dozen races around the picturesque track near Monterey, Calif. And while there were a variety of all things Porsche to see and hear through the three days, Sunday saw some of Porsche's most powerful race cars take to the track. The VW Passat Alltrack - debuts in Tokyo Volkswagen has jumped on to the Allroad bandwagon with its own take on Audi’s faux off-roader, with the reveal of the 2012 VW Passat Alltrack. As you would expect, the Passat Alltrack is a butched-up Passat Estate with a raised ride height, extra bits of plastic round the bumpers, skid plates, flared side sills and 4WD – VW’s 4MOTION – for more traction in boot sale car parks. But when you don’t need the 4WD, around 90 poer cent of the drive is through the front wheels – saving fuel – with the rear wheel drive only coming in to play when you start to slip and slide.
