I am parting out a 2006 Evinrude 40 hp ETEC 2 cyl, 2 stroke outboard because I was told by the repair shop that took it in on trade that the ECM went out on it, and rather than repairing it at a high cost the customer decided to go with a brand new ETEC motor. Other than there not being any spark because of the ECM, the motor was a good motor with excellent compression. Up for bid in this auction is the ignition stator that is in good cosmetic condition. Has a little very minor surface rust in spots on outer edges that do not affect operation. Should replace the 40-90 hp ETEC 2 cylinder motors, and different years from around 2004 on up to possibly 2009 or later, but please do your own research to be sure it will fit your motor!
