New ‘E10’ fuel could cost drivers £billions

A Government proposal to implement a new type of petrol fuel called ‘E10’ has been met with outrage, with consumer car publication What Car? branding the plans as “irresponsible.” E10 petrol could potentially cost UK drivers billions of pounds each year, as the new fuel is less efficient and more polluting than the current blend of petrol used in the UK. Electric Porsche Boxster being developed

Porsche are developing and electric Porsche Boxster It’s not exactly a surprise that Porsche has announced its intention to develop an electric roadster based on the Porsche Boxster, after all – as part of VW – they have access to an awful lot of technology and they’d be foolish to let car makers like Tesla or Fisker potentially steal some future Porsche glory. So starting early next year – as part of a programme Porsche call Modellregion Elektromobilität – three electric Boxsters will be out and about with their electric powertrains in the real world to give Porsche feedback. Porsche are making it absolutely clear that this rolling lab for an electric Boxster is entirely complimentary to – and in no way undermines – their hybrid programme, which includes the Panamera and Cayenne Hybrid and the Hybrid Hypercar that should soon become the production Porsche 918 Spyder.

2013 Hyundai ix35 Facelift spied

An undisguised photo of what appears to be a facelift for the 2013 Hyundai ix35 has appeared on a  Korean site. It’s not yet three years since the Hyundai ix35 was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009 (although it had been seen in Korea earlier), but it looks like the compact SUV from Hyundai is getting a facelift for 2013. The photo above shows an undisguised ix35 / Tucson snapped in Korea and shows a new, more confident nose, big statement grill and fog lights that looks like the might have been borrowed from the new i30.
