Ford to reveal 'post-kinetic' design in Detroit

It appears the NAIAS in Detroit will not be a complete wash in terms of new designs. Ford, for example, is poised to reveal the next phase in its global design language at the automaker's press conference on January 11th. According to J Mays, the automaker will unveil a new mid-sized vehicle which will 'be a big step in the global design DNA' for the company.

Chinese car maker Geely – better known for its ownership of Volvo – will launch in the UK in late 2012. Parent company Geely International Corporation has struck a deal with Manganese Bronze Holdings to be its distributor in the UK market. Rolls-Royce bolsters custom-car operation to meet higher demand

Rolls-Royce is expanding its "Bespoke" customization enterprise to keep up with an influx of buyers wishing to determine the final strokes on their vehicular masterpieces. The British luxury-car manufacturer will double the headcount for its Bespoke team by the end of the year. More than 50 designers, engineers and project managers will run the operation to meet growing customer demand.
