Geneva motor show: Autoweek editors' picks
Wed, 05 Mar 2014From the wildest, most absurd supercars only a few oligarch gazillionaires will ever own to dinky econohaulers giving mobility to whole populations, Geneva had it all. We ogled everything from McLarens and Maseratis to Twingos and Tatas. Ferrari California (2008): first official pictures
Thu, 29 May 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 29 May 2008 08:30 This is the Ferrari California – the new 2+2 GT unveiled today. There’s a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission, a 454bhp 4.3-litre V8 with direct injection, a folding metal roof and space for four. Right, concrete numbers on the Ferrari California please… The engine is a 4300cc V8, using the existing block from the F430 but with a new head to accommodate direct injection. It’s the first time Ferrari has used DI and helps the California produce 454bhp at a heady 7500rpm.
Jaguar F-Type V8 R planned by Arden
Sat, 12 Jan 2013German tuners Arden are planning to deliver a Jaguar F-Type V8 R ahead of Jaguar with the promise of a 550bhp version on offer. The new Jaguar F-Type isn’t going to start arriving in the hands of customers for a few months yet, but that small detail isn’t going to stop the world’s car customisers planning a tweak or three to Jaguar’s new sports car. Arden – German tuners of British cars – has revealed plans to make the new F-Type V8 S in to something akin to what we expect Jaguar’s own top-end F-Type V8 R to deliver when it arrives – around 550bhp.
