Tue, 03 Mar 2009

Aston Martin One-77 WILL Show at Geneva today [ad#ad-1] Autoblog are reporting this morning that our news last week that we’d seen the real Aston Martin One-77, and therefore concluded it was going to show at Geneva, are right. The Aston Martin One-77 is going to be previewed later today at the Motor Show in Geneva. It features a highly tuned (by Cosworth) version of Aston Martin’s Ford derived 6,0 litre V12, which has been enlarged to 7.3 litres.

New Jaguar XJC – the Coupe

Tue, 14 Jul 2009

Jaguar already has a new Jaguar XJC on the drawing board – a coupe version of the new Jaguar XJ The last Jaguar XJC was in the ’70s, and was built on the SWB version of the Series II Jaguar XJ.  In fact – by the time Jaguar got round to launching the XJC on to the market in 1975 – it was the only XJ that had the SWB, as all XJ saloons had moved over to the LWB as standard. A glorious-looking car – especially in ‘New Avengers’ guise as driven by Steed – it was plagued by the problems that beset British Leyland at the time.

US artist David Macaluso has painted a portrait of Lewis Hamilton using oil not from a tube of paint, but from the sump of Hamilton’s F1 car. The oil was taken from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ 2008 F1 car – the vehicle that took Hamilton to the world championship last year.
