Audi RS7: 2013 Detroit Auto Show
Mon, 14 Jan 2013The new Audi RS7 has been revealed at the Detroit Auto Show complete with the 552bhp 4.0 litre V8 from the new Audi RS6 Avant. With the same 552bhp 4.0 litre V8 the new RS6 Avant gets, the 2013 RS7 has permanent 4WD and can get to 62mph in the same blistering time as the RS6 Avant – 3.9 seconds – and on to a top speed of 155mph. That is unless you specify the Dynamic or Dynamic Plus package and then the RS7 can hit either 174mph or 189mph.
Last Lexus LFA leaves Motomachi Plant
Mon, 17 Dec 2012The very last Lexus LFA – LFA #500 – has left the Motomachi Plant in Japan two years after production started and three years after the LFA was revealed. The idea of a Lexus supercar that cost so much seemed barking mad, but the LFA turned out to be a very special car indeed, not just for its build and performance but for what it meant for Lexus and Toyota – a future that would encompass many of the LFA’s design cues and DNA in future mainstream models. But three years after the LFA debuted, and exactly two years after the LFA went in to production at the TMC dedicated production facility at the Motomachi Plant, Aichi Prefecture, the last LFA – a white LFA Nurburgring Package #500 – has left the building.
BMW – Set to be the UK’s favourite car!
Sat, 23 May 2009BMW's ConnectedDrive will provide in-car weather forecasting and mapping [ad#ad-1] In a move that seems designed to pamper to the British obsession with the weather, BMW has announced that they are to fit Michael Fish in to new BMWs fitted with ConnectedDrive! Actually, they’re not really fitting Michael Fish as he’d probably get it wrong, but the new BMW weather forecast system is going to be able to supply weather forecast and precipitation data to drivers on the in-car screen. It’s inevitable that as the technology in cars becomes more sophisticated, and more cost-effective, we will get increasingly sophisticated systems at our disposal.
