However, joining them this summer is Lexus's first dedicated hybrid, the HS 250h, which made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Online retail giant Amazon is now promoting vehicle sales on its website, advertising the new Nissan Versa Note supermini for $13,990 (around £8,630) on the US arm of its Internet-based department store. However, the firm isn’t directly selling the cars – it is instead ‘promoting’ the vehicles. The Nissans do get a full listing, though, as opposed to the simple hosted advert often seen elsewhere online.

Volkswagen Touareg spied: Redesigned 2011 model put on a diet

Volkswagen engineers have put the Touareg on a diet as they prepare the next generation of the SUV for a 2010 launch as a 2011 model. The new Touareg will shed pounds via a greater use of aluminum. The goal: Shave 500 pounds to 600 pounds from the current Touareg's curb weight of nearly 5,100 pounds.
