2007-2014 Mustang SHELBY Competition Aluminum High Performance Heat Exchanger

When the hot rodders here at Shelby American started building high horsepower GT500's, they knew they needed to get the best cooling package they could get their hands on. So in cooperation with C & R, they designed a much larger heat exchanger to handle the extra heat that the 5.4L was going to be building up with upwards of 1000 horsepower on tap. This new heat exchanger features 11" fans to pull even more air across the core than the Extreme Duty Heat Exchanger.

Designed by Shelby and C/R, our competition heat exchanger uses a proprietary NASCAR core, which features a single row core with a dual pass system.

The intercooler and heat exchanger build higher temperatures in normal, spirited or on track driving conditions. With a stock Shelby or Mustang, the car has an on board computer program begins to curb spark and timing at 100 degrees. 100 degrees within the intercooler and heat exchanger can be achieved within minutes of starting the vehicle. After market tuners change this parameter to begin the timing and spark curb trend at 130 degrees to 140 degrees. Almost all supercharged vehicle owners can comprehend the power difference in their car when they first start it and drive versus 20 minutes later when the car just doesn’t seem to run as well or willing to "Spin the tires" This is what is called "Heat Soak."

Vauxhall launches new extended used car warranty

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

Vauxhall has launched a new extended warranty for use cars, available for cars up to 70,000 miles for one, two or three years. Two years ago, Vauxhall launched its Lifetime Warranty for new cars, spurred on by warranties from the likes of Kia and Hyundai, offering buyers long-term peace of mind – and which was actually a 100k mile warranty rather than a lifetime one, but a welcome assurance for motorists nonetheless. Now Vauxhall are extending their enhanced warranty offer to use car with the launch of an extended warranty aimed to give owners of used Vauxhall’s a similar level of cover to new car buyers.

Puegeot win at Le Mans – Audi third

Mon, 15 Jun 2009

Peugeot drivers celebrate their 1-2 at Le Mans The winning Peugeot (#9) was driven by Alexander Wurz, David Brabham and Marc Gene, whilst second place was taken by Sébastien Bourdais, Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazinin in car #8, just one lap behind, and five laps in front of Audi’s #1 car driven by Allan McNish, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen. In fact, the Audi car #1 (the other Audi entries had fallen by the wayside) finished just one lap ahead of Lola Aston Martin’s #007 car. The usual racing excuses were out in full, with Audi claiming that the cancellation of the traditional testing day this year meant they were unable to set up the R15 TDI properly in time for the race (Peugeot seemed to manage to get the 908s ready!).
