Audi Confirms New Q1 Mini SUV To Be Produced From 2016
Wed, 04 Dec 2013GERMAN premium car maker Audi has announced plans to launch a new, small SUV in 2016 called the Q1. Slotting in below the firm’s existing Q3 model, its hoped the Q1 will help make a significant contribution to the company’s ongoing growth and will strengthen its international competitiveness as it expands into new markets and more countries. As an illustration of the company’s desire to expand, by 2020 its product range will have grown from the current 49 models to more than 60, and will reach total unit sales of more than two million cars each year.
Jag hops on Super Bowl ad bandwagon
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Jaguar is preparing to tout the brand's British roots in a new advertising campaign called "British Villains" that will be its largest ever and include its first Super Bowl commercial. The campaign will be used to launch the new F-Type coupe that debuts at the Los Angeles auto show later this month and goes on sale in April. The 30-second Super Bowl commercial will run during the second half of next year's event on Feb.

Sun, 05 Aug 2012The Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has developed a plug-in hybrid retro-fit system for cars. As hybrid cars show the world that we can get more miles to the gallon from fuel by adding in an electric motor to the mix (depending on just how that electricity is generated, of course), it was inevitable that aftermarket solutions would eventually surface. Now, the Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has popped up with what they claim is an after market plug-in hybrid system that can be added to just about any car and would cost – assuming it gets to market – around £2,000.
