IIHS names safest cars for 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the safest cars for 2013, including 13 midsize sedans that qualify for a new “top safety pick+” designation. The designation is given to vehicles that earn “good” ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five tests, with no less than “acceptable” in the fifth test. A new test -- the small overlap test -- was added to assess how the vehicles perform during a front-corner collision with another vehicle or object, such as a utility pole.
Volvo confirms 395bhp four-cylinder for new 2015 XC90

The Swedish seven-seat crossover hasn't been unveiled yet (expect full pictures in August 2014) and Volvo is busy building up the publicity machine with snapshots inside the new XC90 and now teasing us with engine details. Mercedes AMG driving academy is coming to the United States
Wed, 24 Jun 2009Mercedes-Benz is offering a chance for speed enthusiasts to learn to drive like the pros. The AMG Driving Academy will be held at three sites in September. The academy, founded in Germany in 2007, gives drivers a chance to get behind the wheels of several AMG models, including the E63 AMG, the SL63 AMG, the C63 AMG, the SLK55 AMG and the CLK63 AMG Black Series.
