The memory of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014 may now have faded, but for Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams, the experience of the event is one she’ll be sure never to forget. That’s because Hyundai brand ambassador Adams was strapped into the passenger seat of the firm’s i20 WRC world rally car alongside factory rally driver Thierry Neuville for a white-knuckle ride around Goodwood’s famous forest rally stage. McLaren P13 – first OFFICIAL details and image

McLaren P13 (pictured) first OFFICIAL details revealed It was only last month that we had official confirmation that the McLaren P13 – McLaren’s more affordable mid-engined supercar – would arrive in 2015 to take on cars like Audi’s R8 and the top end Porsche 911s. Now McLaren has gone a bit further and revealed details of the P13. The McLaren P13 – shown above in a sketch by McLaren’s design boss, Frank Stephenson – looks to take its design cues more from the MacLaren P1 than the 12C – a good thing – and will utilise the same carbon fibre MonoCell chassis as the P1 and 12C as well as a de-tuned version of the same 3.8 litre V8 turbo.

Four car design schools to compete in Ferrari design contest

 Ferrari, in collaboration with Pininfarina, has laid down a global challenge for students of car design. The project, called 'Ferrari: new concepts for the myth', will see students from four of the world's best automotive design schools compete to create new concepts for future Ferraris. The four schools are: Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Tokyo Communication Arts, Coventry University School of Art and Design, and the European Institute of Design in Turin.
