Suzuki Swift SZ-L launched

Wed, 02 Sep 2009

Suzuki has launched a new Limited Edition Swift - the Suzuki Swift SZ-L The SZ-L is designed to offer a more economical option to the usual 1.5 litre lump, and substitutes it with a 1.3 litre, 93bhp engine from the Swift GL, which delivers 0-60mph in 11.0 seconds, 48.7 mpg and CO2 emissions of 140g/km which isn’t actually too shoddy. To make this limited edition SZ-L, Suzuki are throwing in a few tweaks and some toys to make the package more appealing. You get AirCon, a choice of new metallic colours, some extra chrome bits and an upgrade or two for the interior.

Tesla has staked its reputation on getting 98 percent of the country within the coverage of a Supercharger station by 2015 and the first major milestone was the completion of what we'll call The Supercharger Trail, a series of overlapping charging station locations that would allow one to take a trip from New York to LA. Just past midnight on Thursday, January 30th, a Tesla Motors team left Los Angeles in two Model S sedans bound for New York City.

Sure, it's a display of classic motor yachts and airplanes, but here the car is still star. That is, if you exclude Bob Schwartz's rocket-powered bicycle, which saw 50-mph passes on the runway at Ocean Reef's airport.
