This OEM climate control came from a 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited that was parted due to severe front accident damage. The accident distorted the dashboard causing damage to a couple of the mounting tabs. One tab is completely missing and another is half broken but I will plastic weld and sure up the cracked tab. See photo 10 for those tabs (the plastic welding will be completed prior to shipping). On the other side, one tab is missing the yellow clip on plastic but you could easily use one from your current unit (photo # 9). The center guiding pin is missing but this affects nothing (photo 11). The front face of the unit only has a minor stain in between the recirculate and defrost buttons (photo 2). The unit was powered on but due to the accident, we could not test if actual heat and air came out of the vents, only the fan speed could be tested. OEM part # 55900-48320. Please review the closeup photos to verify condition and match part numbers to your application.

XCar tests the Jaguar F-Type R coupe in Spain

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Host Alex Goy put the new hardtop Jaguar F-Type R coupe through its paces in the latest edition of XCar. Goy says the loud, red Jag was the first car he has been pulled over in during a shoot -- which must mean he’s either more restrained than we’d have guessed or just supremely lucky. The F-Type R is now the fastest Jaguar you can buy, with 543 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque on tap.

Toyota Auris Hybrid – details

Fri, 11 Sep 2009

The Toyota Auris Hybrid, which will debut at Frankfurt The Auris Hybrid will be the first Toyota Hybrid to be built in Europe – at Toyota’s UK plant. Scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2010, the Auris hybrid utilises the same powertrain as the third-gen Prius, namely a 1.8 litre, 97bhp petrol engine with a bank of nickel-metal hydride batteries and an electric motor. This will give the Auris Hybrid a 0-60 mph time of around 10 seconds and emissions below the critical 100g/km (not 99g/km, by any chance?).

Mercedes B-class fuel-cell drivers tell all

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

We met in a Los Angeles gas station, directly under the landing lights of LAX's south runway, our conversation interrupted regularly by the Prattt & Whitney thrust of 757s and Super 80s. We could easily be the main characters in an espionage thriller, handing off secret documents at great personal risk. But we're not.
