2008-2010 XB Remote Engine Start PT398-52083 The Scion remote engine start system allows vehicle owners to start the engine before entering the vehicle—as well as to activate the air conditioner, heater, defroster and defogger functions—so owners can have their vehicle ready and waiting with a comfortable interior temperature. And, because it’s fully integrated into the vehicle’s existing factory security/keyless entry system, there’s no need for an additional remote. The remote engine starter is operated by pushing the “lock” button on the keyless entry fob in a quick, three-step sequence: (1) push and release “lock” button; (2) push and release “lock” button again; (3) then push and hold “lock” button for three seconds—and the engine starts. The engine can also be stopped remotely by pushing the “unlock” button once, or by pushing and holding the lock button for two seconds or more. Note: Applicable to only Automatic Transmission (A/T) models with remote keyless entry. Enables owners to start the engine before entering the vehicle. Thu, 26 Nov 2009Vauxhall's Ellesmere Port Plant will have no job losses It looks like the bulk of the savings that GM need to make in Vauxhall/Opel are going to fall outside the UK, with the news that there will be no job cuts at the Astra-making Ellesmere Port plant and around 340 job losses at Luton. Which is about as good as the news was ever likely to be for Vauxhall workers in the UK. Whatever the outcome of the GM/Magna deal it always seemed likely that Ellesmere Port would be relatively unscathed.
Alfa Romeo future products: 4C, Giulia lead return to U.S. market
