This is an original remote keyless entry produced by the factory. It works on the 2008-2013 CADILLAC CTS and STS. The key blade has been cut, but that can be purchased in other auctions on ebay for $5 to $8. This remote can be programmed to your vehicle by you. For instructions, go to your favorite search engine and put in keywords like "program....your....remote" and you will find them.
