New Mercedes GL (2013): Price from £59,465 to £91,680
Fri, 23 Nov 2012Mercedes has announced that the new 2013 GL will cost from £59,456 for the GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport to £91,680 for the GL 63 AMG. The Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport will cost from £59,465 and gets a chunk more kit than the outgoing GL. That includes Intelligent Light System, bi-xenons, LED daytime lights, AMG body styling, 21″ AMG alloys, Privacy, electric glass roof, AirMATIC, Parktronic with Park Assist, COMAND and DAB radio.
Rumormill: Aston Martin Cygnet could get V12
Fri, 26 Oct 2012A few years ago, if you would have asked us about 500-hp city cars, we would have said, “Awesome, but never going to happen.” We were proven wrong with last year's Nissan Juke-R and we may be proven wrong again with a V12-powered Aston Martin Cygnet. That's right, Autocar reports that Aston is studying the feasibility of taking the Toyota iQ-based Cygnet and shoehorning the V12 from its Vantage and DB9 models. Aston says it could fit the V12 in the tiny car's engine bay without major modifications.
Caterham sells F1 team
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Caterham The Caterham Formula 1 team has been sold to a consortium of Swiss and Middle-Eastern investors following a poor season so far in 2014. Rumours that Caterham would cut its losses have been rife, since team founder Tony Fernandes threatened to quit if things didn't improve this year. The team is currently bottom in the championship and Fernandes hinted of an exit last week, when he tweeted “F1 hasn't worked, but love Caterham Cars.” Graham Macdonald, Caterham Group CEO: “Firstly I want to thank everyone who was involved in the F1 team for all their hard work and dedication since the team’s first days in 2009.
