This unit is fully functional. I just purchased it on eBay from another seller who pulled it from his car to upgrade. I thought I would be upgrading from my stock stereo to the Bose unit but I didn't realize that the Bose stereo will not work in the stock car without an external amplifier and, perhaps, different speakers. I installed it in my car with no difficulties. However, without the external amplifier, it does not produce enough volume. I did verify that the stereo works fine, including the 6 CD changer. It just needs to be installed in a Miata (MX-5) that was built with a Bose unit in it to begin with. This unit is Sirius Satellite compatible (requires XM Receiver and wiring harness, NOT included). Harnesses are available from Crutchfield if your car does not have one. Tell them what car you have and what radio you plan to install and they do a great job of creating harnesses to connect everything. That’s meant a total of 500,000 TTs have been solid since the TT first hit showrooms back in 1998, so Audi are celebrating with a new limited edition model – the Audi TTS Competition. The TTS Competition will be limited to just 500 units and will come in a choice of either Imola Yellow and Nimbus Grey, as a coupe or a roadster.
Car collector, lawyer O'Quinn dies in car crash
Thu, 29 Oct 2009Noted Texas attorney John O'Quinn, a car collector who at one time owned more than 600 vehicles, died after the SUV he was driving in Houston ran off the road and crashed into a tree. O'Quinn was 68. Police are continuing to investigate the crash, which happened Thursday morning on wet roads.
