Up for sale is one low mileage 2009 Pontiac G8 L76 6.0L Aluminum Block V8 Engine.  This was pulled from a 2009 G8 with approx 50K miles and the owner upgraded to a 525HP LS3 crate motor.

When I got the motor it had the Intake Manifold and TB, but was missing the fuel rail and injectors, so I purchased a brand new LS3 Intake Manifold Assembly ($700).

It includes -
  • LS3 Intake Manifold
  • LS3 TB / Gold Blade
  • LS3 Fuel Injectors (41lb/hr)
  • Fuel Rail
  • MAP Sensor
This complete assembly is Brand New with zero miles!  The L76 originally came from the factory with LS2 injectors (34lb/hr) so the LS3 injectors are an upgrade, plus they are brand new and have zero mileage, so no need to send them out to be cleaned because they sat for an extended period of time.  The L76 also has the desirable Rectangular Port Heads like the LS3, unlike the LS2 which is Cathedral Port.

I also took off the exhaust manifolds and media blasted them and painted them with Cast Iron Manifold Grey Heat Paint, so they look brand new.

No Accessories.

Prefer local Pickup, but if you want to pay for the freight I can put it on a pallet and you can arrange to have it picked up.

This will be the third time the British car company has been featured in Monterey, in addition to 1976 and 1992.

MINI Crossman / Countryman on schedule

The MINI Crossover Concept. On target for a Geneva launch as the Countryman or Crossman The MINI Crossover – dubbed Crossman or Countryman – has been floating around as a ‘Concept’  since the Paris Motor Show in 2008. We even reported on the MINI Crossman testing back in April, and it’s been expected to launch for quite some time, so to say it’s ‘On Schedlue’ is probably a little misleading.

MINI Paceman Adventure Concept – it’s a Countryman Pickup

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

It’s a MINI Pickup – the MINI Paceman Adventure It’s always hard to decide if a MINI concept – and they’re not exactly as rare as hens teeth – is a real one-off or a pointer to a future production MINI. A good example of that is MINI’s April Fool in 2012 for ‘Camping MINIs’ which turned in to a fully-blown official concept in 2013 as the MINI Clubvan Camper, Countryman All4 Camp & Cowley Caravan. Now we get the MINI Paceman Adventure Concept, a pickup based on the Pacemena (itself based on the Countryman) put together by BMW students and instructors at plants in Munich and Dingolfing and built as an exercise to show the skills and talent of the apprentice programme.
