200r Hi-flow Bottom Feed Filter And Sump Kit on 2040-parts.com

The 2004R hydraulic system requires a clean and unrestricted supply of transmission oil to keep up with the demands it encounters in performance and racing applications. Specific design requirements are necessary to ensure these demands are met, and begin with the oil sump and oil filter assembly. The oil filter assembly must be completely submerged in fluid, and permit unrestricted access of the transmission fluid to the inlet or pick-up area of the filter. Once the fluid enters the filter, the filtering agent must provide adequate filtration without causing any major restriction to fluid flow. This requires a low restriction filtering agent with an increased surface area. The OEM 2004R oil filter assembly does not meet these design requirements. First, the pick-up area is pointing away from the sump, and is therefore not fully submerged in fluid during heavy acceleration. This allows the pick-up to easily become uncovered, introducing air into the hydraulic system which results in pressure fluctuations and various operating concerns. Second, the entrance to the pick-up area is severely restricted due to the fact that it is squeezed in between the valve body and filter housing. The filter housing itself actually becomes an obstacle to its own fluid inlet due to poor inlet porting. This severely reduces the fluid volume required to maintain increased line pressures on demand, and results in huge pressure drops during gear changes. Once the fluid has entered the filter, it suffers flow restrictions due to the size and design of the filter element, reducing the overall efficiency of the fluid inlet system. The CK Performance Sump Correction Kit includes a high flow SPX 4L60 bottom feed filter assembly. This assembly ensures the pick-up maintains submersion in fluid under all driving conditions, permits unrestricted access of the fluid to the fluid inlet, and provides maximum fluid filtration with minimal flow restriction. See the comparison between the OEM 2004R filter and SPX 4L60 filter in figure. The kit also includes a spacer which must be installed between the oil pan and transmission case to provide the clearance necessary for the larger filter assembly, new mounting hardware, and an insulated fourth gear pressure switch terminal end to eliminate any interference between the connector and filter.

Hungarian GP qualifying: Rosberg on pole for Mercedes – Hamilton out of qualifying after car fire
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Hungarian GP qualifying: Rosberg (pictured) on pole for Mercedes Lewis Hamilton seems to have had most of the unreliability problems that have hit Mercedes this year, but a fire in his car before he even set a time in qualifying for the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix today in Budapest was a cruel blow to his title chances. Hamilton managed to limp his stricken car in to the pits as flames licked round the back after what appears to have been a fuel leak, but that means Hamilton will start from the back of the grid tomorrow, making it incredibly difficult to get even close to Rosberg who finished qualifying on pole. Behind Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel managed to put the Red Bull in second, with Williams’ Botas in third during a final qualifying that saw rain drench the first corner, nearly claiming Rosberg and sending McLaren’s Magnussen in to the tyre barrier and out of Q3.
Lamborghini Urus SUV confirmed to arrive in 2017
Tue, 14 May 2013The Urus will be VW Group’s lightest and quickest SUV – expected to best even the Porsche Cayenne Turbo – and will be built on VW’s new large SUV platform – the same platform that will underpin the Bentley Falcon SUV, Audi Q7 (and Audi Q9) and Porsche Cayenne – and will use a forged carbon composite structure from the central tunnel to the rear suspension to save weight. Power for the Urus is expected to come from the twin-turbo V8 we’ve already seen in the Bentley Continental GT and Audis, producing something in the region of 600bhp and perhaps even more if Lamborghini add a hybrid option to throw some electric assistance at the V8′s 600 horses. It seems likely the Urus concept will remain largely unchanged for production, although we could see some toning down of its more extreme elements, as Lamborghini look to add 3,000 sales a year to their annual total when the Urus hits showrooms.
Supercars targeted by vandals
Fri, 08 Aug 2014OWNERS of luxury and supercars are reporting increased damage to their cars brought on by jealousy. Many don’t bother to report damage to their cars to the police now as they accept it as part of the risk of owning an expensive car. Called ‘car hate crimes’, the damage to cars such as Porsches.
