Mercedes Weighs Into Super Saloon Market With Potent AMG-Tuned S-Class
Fri, 08 Nov 2013WHEN eight cylinders just isn’t enough for your high performance luxury saloon, Mercedes has unveiled the solution to your problem: and S-Class boasting twelve cylinders, twin-turbocharging, 630 horsepower and a whopping 737lb ft of torque. As a flagship to trump even its own S 63 AMG model, the German firm claims its S 65 AMG monster is the most powerful vehicle in its market segment. Packing a 6.0-litre V12 petrol motor, this third generation of S 65 can deliver a zero to 62mph sprint time of 4.3 seconds and carry on to an electronically limited 155mph.
Porsche Panamera designer focused on rear-seat passengers
Mon, 06 Apr 2009There's no mistaking it for anything but a Porsche, but with four doors and four full seats, the Panamera is like no previous Porsche. Styled by a team of in-house designers under the direction of Michael Mauer, the Panamera is 195.7 inches long, 76.0 inches wide and 55.8 inches tall--making it slightly shorter but wider and lower than the Maserati Quattroporte, with which it shares a coupelike profile. As with all such silhouettes, "the real challenge is giving the rear-seat passengers enough headroom," says Mauer.

Fortunately, although I suppose you could consider the Ferrari 599 Hybrid ‘Green’ in the sense that it will probably produce less CO2 (which is, of course, the single most important thing for Ferrari), the performance of this 599 Hybrid is going to be its forte, and the real green bit on this particular 599 Hybrid is the hideous paint job. We’ve known for a while that Ferrari were working on a Hybrid, and we recently revealed it would be a hybrid version of the Ferrari 599.
