In a nice touch from the BMW-owned carmaker, the special unveiling event will be held 107 years to the day since creator of the original Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, was born. MSN Cars recently checked out MINI’s preview of the new compact hatchback with the MINI Vision concept.

And, as is fast becoming the norm for Jaguar Land Rover, the new Discovery Sport arrived in Paris with a bit of a splash. Rather than just unveiling the new Discovery Sport on the floor in Paris (which they did, with just the Sport on display on the first day), JLR commissioned a giant barge to accommodate the Sport on the River Seine, together with a very British support act in the guise of giant wellingtons.
