A Night at the Movies with Alex Xydias
Tue, 22 Apr 2014“I started shooting movies when I stopped racing,” said original hot rod hero Alex Xydias. “When I had enough stuff I made this.” “This” is "The Hot Rod Story," a documentary shot by the man himself from about 1962 to 1964 at the drag strips, dry lakes and cruise-ins of the day. It's a movie shot in the style of, say, a Bruce Brown surf movie or a Warren Miller ski movie.
Peugeot 2008 Crossover already selling well in UK – and half are White
Thu, 18 Jul 2013More than half of UK sales of the new Peugeot 2008 (pictured) are white cars The Peugeot 2008 – the crossover/SUV take on the new 208 – arrived in production guise at the Geneva Motor Show in March and looked a properly credible effort from the beleaguered French car maker. In fact, when Peugeot announced prices for the 2008 and their UK target sales of 8,000 a year, we thought they were being conservative with their projections, especially as the 2008 starts at a very reasonable £13k. That soon proved to be right when Peugeot announced it was having to double production of the 2008 as sales were much stronger across Europe than they’d anticipated, and it seems the same is happening in the UK.
Koenigsegg Agera R: Geneva bound

A day or two of furtling around and we were able to report a week later that Koenigesegg were indeed taking something new to Geneva – the Koenigsegg Agera. The Agera duly turned up at Geneva in March and the last year has seen a number of orders for Ageras, although so far – to the best of our knowledge – just two Ageras have been delivered.
