GM are desperate to grab the headlines with the Ampera in Europe, and they’ve done a full reveal – pictures, video, the works, this afternoon, instead of waiting until tomorrow as was expected. Due to go on sale when is anybody’s guess. The Ampera offers a 50km range from electric charge only, and up to 500 km range when used in conjunction with the engine.

Ford Fiesta deliveries delayed, storm-damaged rail lines blamed

Ford Motor Co.'s shipments of the 2011 Ford Fiesta subcompact to U.S. dealerships will be delayed by 10 days to two weeks because of storm-damaged railroad lines. Key railroads in northern Mexico were severely damaged by Hurricane Alex on June 30 and later by Tropical Storm Bonnie, said Angie Kozleski, a Ford spokeswoman.

Carr has always prided itself on ad-free pages and continual focus on the future of car design but to do this needs some help from its readers as the team looks to improve its circulation and bolster content.
