2011 Ford Super Duty pickup gets price hike, content upgrade

Ford Motor Co.'s redesigned 2011 Super Duty pickup will carry a base sticker price higher than its predecessor but will include upgraded content, such as a new six-speed transmission. Ford also will offer its first diesel V8 engine designed in-house. The pickup, which goes on sale this spring, starts at $28,995, according to a dealer and a source familiar with the program.

The 2012 Kia cee’d debuts at Geneva After a single photo of the 2012 Kia cee’d in January, Kia now reveals its new cee’d ahead of a Geneva debut. Just like sibling Hyundai, Kia is on the up and the new 2012 Kia cee’d promises another jump in quality and appeal when it arrives in the UK in June after a public debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month. We had one photo of the new Kia cee’d last month, but now Kia has really pushed the boat out and sent us a whole four photos of their new Golf-sized offering.

Video: How DGT Architects created Renault's Paris show stand

The creators of the Renault stand at this year's Paris motor show have released a video explaining how they created one of the most popular show stands in recent years. The DGT Architects-designed Renault stand – named ‘The Bump' – was one of the stars of the show this year with its curves and lighting drawing praise and attracting admirers from across the event.  A total of 388 large squashed light globes that softly glowed a variety of colors were hung from the ceiling and simulated the movements of waves as they illuminated the stand below. To convey a sense of motion to the cars underneath, DGT used the movement of the lights and the creation of two hills.
