CDN announces second edition of Car Design Glossary

Mon, 01 Sep 2008

Car Design New has now published the second edition of the Car Design Glossary. Designed to enable budding designers  - and those wishing to describe the products of the designer's imagination - to decipher the language used in automotive studios, the Glossary was devised by David Browne, Course Director of Automotive Design at Coventry University School of Art & Design. He created the compilation of terms as an academic piece of research and collaborated with CDN to help generate feedback on these terms from designers themselves.

Fri, 29 Jan 2010

Suzuki are to launch the Kizashi in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show in March What’s the Suzuki Kizashi, I hear you ask? But that’s about to change with a European launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

IDSA's 3D-printed car design contest gets underway

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Aspiring designers have the chance to see their 3D-printed car designs launched down a miniature model of a ski jump and crash in the Launch Day 2013 competition due to take place at the 2013 IDSA conference, which runs from 21-24 August. Up to five designs can be entered for free until 12 August in the competition, organized by The Industrial Designers Society of America. All submissions will then be judged for both aesthetics and for "using unique attributes of 3D printing" which will whittle them down to just 10 designs that will be printed before the launch.
