With a dominant Lewis Hamilton on pole and Button just behind in his McLaren, will the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix see McLaren dominate? There’s no question, certainly on the evidence of free practice and qualifying at the Hungaroring for the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix, that McLaren has found the speed it’s lost recently. Hamilton was streets ahead of the rest and Button close behind as McLaren showed they probably have the fastest car on the grid this weekend.

Urban gridlock costs economy £4.4bn

GRIDLOCK in urban areas is costing car-commuting households £4.4 billion a year, according to a report. Congestion in London accounts for £2 billion of the overall annual cost, the report by traffic information company Inrix and the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) showed. The report was compiled by studying congestion in the UK's 18 largest urban areas.

Pierre Authier: I'm not moving to Opel/Vauxhall

As the ongoing General Motors designer saga continues, the latest Opel/Vauxhall Vice President of Design elect, Pierre Authier has taken his name off the shortlist for the Rüsselsheim. Car Design News had received information from a reliable source within PSA about Authier's supposed move, however we have since spoken to Pierre, who was keen to put the record straight: “I read the flattering article on my recruitment as VP of Design for Opel/Vuaxhall, but this information is false,” he told CDN. “I am really enjoying my position at Peugeot and with the 208 family team that has made such incredible work.” The search for the missing piece in the GM puzzle continues.
