The Geneva motor show will be held from from 5-17 March at the Palexpo center. Marking the opening of the European motor show season, the 2013 Geneva show promises a host of world debuts for both production and concept models. Once again, the stage is set for the most exciting European show to set the benchmark for other's to come.

New Toyota Auris starts rolling out at Burnaston

The new 2013 Toyota Auris – Toyota’s modern Corolla – has commenced production at the Toyota plant in Burnaston. Toyota revealed the new Auris back in August – ahead of a public debut at the Paris Motor Show – which, although pretty much the previous Auris when you dig deep, does offer a more dynamic look and the promise of better driving dynamics too. With the new Auris a big deal for Toyota in Europe, Toyota are trumpeting the start of Auris production in Burnaston and have rolled out Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, to mark the occasion.

Green Light For More Smart Motorway Schemes

THE Government has announced plans to speed up journey times on selected parts of the nation’s motorway network. As a result, work will start to convert the hard shoulder into a running lane on two sections of the M1 and on a stretch of the M3. The M1 work will be between junctions 28 and 31 in Derbyshire and between junctions 32 and 35a in South Yorkshire, with claims that it will boost capacity by up to a third and improve journey times by up to 10%.
