Power survey in the UK saw Lexus winning out, but it’s a different story on the other side of the Pond, where Jaguar have come top of the crop for the Luxury Sector followed by Cadillac, with Lexus, Mercedes and Land Rover filling up the top five. Volvo Concept XC Coupé shows how new design language translates to SUVs
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Volvo's Concept CX Coupé has been revealed in a set of images ahead of its debut at January's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The crossover SUV is the second of three concepts to be developed with Volvo's new design language under vice president of design Thomas Ingenlath, following the launch of the Volvo Concept Coupé in Frankfurt earlier this year. It's understood the new XC90 is coming next year and so this concept is certain to feature some of the elements we can expect to see on the production model.
2013 Honda CR-Z hybrid gets power boost
Mon, 19 Nov 2012The slow-selling Honda CR-Z hybrid hatchback gets a new lithium-ion battery pack and more-powerful electric for the 2013 model year. The change from a nickel metal hydride battery pack helps boost output from the hybrid powertrain's electric motor from 10 kilowatts to 15 kilowatts. The powertrain's combined output is now rated at 130 hp at 6,000 rpm, up 8 hp from the 2012 model.
