Audi to reveal 230hp S1

Audi is expected to reveal a 230hp quattro S1 at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The hot version of its A1 city car will be powered by the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine used in the Audi S3, and come with four-wheel drive as standard. Fiat are debuting the convertible hot Fiat 500 - the Abarth 500C - at the Geneva Motor Show It’s taken Fiat a very long time to catch up with the story we ran in July last year. We’d heard that Fiat were planning a hot version of the hugely successful Fita 500C – the convertible – in the form of the Abarth 500C. We then got confirmation that the Abarth 500C was coming in October and finally we’ve learnt  that Fiat will be taking the new Abarth 500C to the Geneva Motor Show next week.

New VW Golf BlueMotion: Paris 2012

Volkswagen has revealed the MK 7 version of the Golf Bluemotion in Paris, offering 88.3mpg and 85g/km emissions. Volkswagen are billing the Golf BlueMotion as a concept, but it’s heading for production and is expected to offer the same emissions and economy figures as the BlueMotion Concept – 88.3mpg and 85g/km. That makes it 15 per cent more efficient than the outgoing BlueMotion.
