Dodge Hornet 'could be partnered with Nissan'

By Dimitri Pesin Motor Industry 12 June 2008 17:47 Chrysler could work with Nissan to produce its long-awaited, super-butch supermini the Dodge Hornet, CAR Online has learned. The concept car was first shown back in 2006 and is being readied for a launch in 2010. Chrysler had been negotiating with Chinese car maker Chery, but according to CAR's sources it could now be developed with Nissan.

The new Lexus RC Coupe (pictured) debuts at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show It was back in July that the new Lexus RC Coupe was confirmed for a debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor show and now, with Tokyo just a few weeks away, Lexus has revealed the RC Coupe. The RC Coupe gets an evolution of the Lexus design language – more akin to its recent concept models than production cars – with a heavily contoured shape and the big Lexus spindle grill and lights that look like they’ve taken their inspiration from the LF-LC Concept. There’s also a choice of 18″ and optional 19″ alloys, with the 18″ looking butch and the 19″ elegant.

GM names Stracke to succeed Reilly as CEO of Opel/Vauxhall

General Motors on Thursday named global engineering chief Karl-Friedrich Stracke to replace Nick Reilly as CEO of its money-losing Opel/Vauxhall unit, effective April 1. Stracke will report to Reilly, 61, who continues as the head of GM's European operations and will be nominated to chair the Opel supervisory board. Stracke, a German native, has led GM's global vehicle engineering operations for the past 15 months.
