Hammer Falls On Record Silverstone Auctions Sale

RECORDS were broken at the recent Silverstone Auctions event, as the two day sale generated more than £5 million and secured some of the highest prices seen to date. One highlight of the sale was a 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS, which was hammered away for a premium inclusive £82,225 - more than £50,000 over its lower estimate and a world record for the model. Not to be outdone, a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS sold for a premium inclusive £77,050, breaking another world record.

SEAT Leon Cupra & Ibiza FR Revealed

The SEAT Leon Cupra (pictured above) launches at Barcelona in May, together with the Ibiza FR The Cupra is the top of the hot tree in the SEAT world, and so the new SEAT Leon Cupra will sit ahead of the Leon FR. The new Ferrari 458 Spider  is to make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, together with the new Ferrari California. The Ferrari 458 Spider finally bowed in at Frankfurt 2011 – more than two years on from the debut of the 458 Italia – and is going to make its UK debut at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed on 29th June. About time too.
