Renault 4 Ever design competition

DesignBoom has teamed up with Renault to create a unique design competition. With the Renault 4 entering its 50th year, the aim of the competition is to redesign and recreate the classic R4. The free-to-enter competition is open to anyone, not just design students and professionals.

New Kia Cee’d & Procee’d GT Turbo Geneva 2013 debut

Kia will launch the Cee’d & Pro_cee’d GT at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a 200bhp Turbo engine and cosmetic tweaks. We’ve already revealed that Hyundai are planning a turbo version of the i30 3-door (perhaps the Hyundai i30 R?) and Kia are following suit to with go-faster versions of the new Cee’d, new Pro_cee’d and, it appears, even the new Cee’d Sportswagon. The plan is to kick of with the launch of the Cee’d GT and Pro_cee’d GT at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, with every possibility Kia will also launch a Cee’d Sportswagon GT later in 2013.

Caterham Sevens reimagined as classic F1 cars

You could never really call the Caterham Seven modern – its look has remained fundamentally unchanged since the original Lotus Seven (the car Caterham would eventually buy the rights to build) launched back in 1957. Today, the engine is still in the front, those delightfully exposed front wheels still float over bumps and the frog-eyed headlights serve as a reminder of years gone by. And now the modern Seven has been taken right back to the period where it was first conceived, with these Grand Prix-style racers from Zolland Design.
