Fri, 29 Jul 2011

This is the BMW i8 Concept, a near-production preview of Munich’s new plug-in hybrid supercar. Audi and Mercedes might have stolen a march on BMW with the R8 and SLS respectively, but while its rivals prepare limited-run electric versions of their supercars, BMW is putting this i8 into proper mass production in just two years time. The BMW i8, and its i3 EV sibling, will be revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September. Mon, 28 Feb 2011

Bentley Supersports 'Ice Speed Record' Convertible Last week we brought you news of a new Bentley Limited Edition – the Bentley Supersports ‘Ice Speed Record’ Convertible – and now Bentley catch up with the story too. On the power front – rather the point when it comes to Bentley Supersports – the Bentley Supersports ISR’s 6.0 litre W12 gets 631bhp and 590lb/ft of torque, and runs on anything up to E85 fuel.

Rolls Royce Wraith Drophead OFFICIALLY confirmed

Tue, 05 Aug 2014

A Drophead version of the Rolls Royce Wraith (pictured) officially confirmed for 2016 The Rolls Royce Wraith – a Ghost Coupe in all but name – arrived in 2013 as an almost properly sporting Rolls Royce, one designed for driving rather than being driven in. But the arrival of the Wraith did beg the question ‘How long will it be before there’s a Wraith Convertible?‘, and we thought that question was answered when Rolls Royce boss, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, said in November last year that a drophead Wraith would make it in to production. But it seems the boss saying something doesn’t necessarily make it official, so Rolls Royce has now officially confirmed today that a new Rolls Royce model – offering effortless, open-top touring – is under development and will arrive in 2016.
