The purpose of this adaptor harness is to allow a 2012/2013 Camry owner the option of putting in a less expensive mainstream Gentex mirror. There's plenty of used Gentex mainstream mirrors out there that can be had for as little as $50. So why spend $250 on a new 50-GENK45ACAM mirror. It's not like the gentex mirrors are your typical throw-away electronics. There's not a day that goes buy that I don't see 15 + year old gentex mirrors for sale.
For sale is a new 2012 Toyota Camry Gentex Homelink Mirror & Homelink Compass Mirror Wiring Harness Kit with a wire cover. It adapts the toyota oem mirror connector found in the overhead console to fit the mainstream homelink mirror's pictured below.
You will need to advise me on if you have a 2 wire connector or 3 wire connector in your 2012 Camry's overhead console. The difference between the two is the 3 wire connector supports full time homelink where as with the two wire connector homelink only works with the key on.
Be sure to read the whole ad and look at the picture of the actual kit to see what you get in the kit. This works with both of the 10 pin gentex mirrors shown below:
This kit is not for temperature capable mirrors. Please check our other auctions. |
Since you’re looking at this auction you're probably considering buying a complete wiring harness verses extending a short pigtail. Or Maybe the mirror your buying has no harness or pigtail. The advantage of buying a complete harness is first you're not scrambling to find the correct wire to use. Even if you get the correct wire the extended wire connections should get soldered and shrink sleeves placed over them. With the kit are wire ties, solderless connectors for the connections to the vehicle harness, instructions, and even the obligatory wire cover.
Harness material quality is important too. Most parts supply wire and aftermarket kit wire is rated for 80 degrees C (175 degrees F). Most temp sensor wire loom is rated for 200 degrees or less. The current kits we are selling have Oem automotive spec (crosslink) wire and Oem spec loam. That's 125 degree C (255 degree F) wire and 300 degree wire loam for temp sensor kits. This is important because a car’s internal temperatures can exceed 175 degrees. Under hood temperatures often exceed 200 degrees so our wire loom is rated for 300 degrees and not the substandard 200 degree loom available. All our harness wire is Automotive crosslink wire, and not speaker wire or some other sub-standard wire. Crosslink wire is resistant to moisture, grease, oil, gasoline, and most acids and solvents. The other benefit of the crosslink wire is it's abrasion resistance. Why take a chance on inferior materials? Full instructions with professional support provided via email.
Thanks for looking

The new Lexus RX 450h hybrid offers big BIK savings for company car drivers, something Lexus are keen to point out. Every car needs a USP to get its message across to potential buyers; a hook to land a sale. Depending on your wants, that USP could be anything from performance and style to running costs and boot space.

The 2013 SEAT Leon has been officially revealed a few days after leaked photos surfaced. Will launch at the Paris Motor Show. Photos of the new SEAT Leon turned up on Saturday showing SEAT’s new take on the VW Golf ahead of an official reveal, so it seemed likely we’d get the official details soon.

Just when you think you've seen it all, along comes a delivery mileage Lamborghini Countach that has been sat 'resting' in a storage facility since April 1990. And although it would be rather amusing to report the supercar had been discovered during an episode of Storage Wars, the reality is a little different. The Countach is the car that graced the bedroom walls of countless young boys in the 1980s, condemning the Ferrari poster to the waste paper bin.
